My Long Term Minecraft World

So, over the last year or so, I tried many of the old versions of minecraft to see what they had to offer and what I thought of them. I really enjoyed them(especially beta 1.7.3 and release 1.2.2), but I ended up only playing them for a few weeks before abandoning my worlds. In modern, my problem was even worse, since I generally couldnt even play in a world for more than week.

However, after seeing videos about peoples long-term worlds(shoutout to Luvstar and ibxtoycat), I really wanted to just stick to a world to see it evolve over time. I knew I wouldnt be able to do so in earlier versions since you need a LOT of creativity to keep building varied things in them, so i decided to give modern minecraft another shot with beta texturepacks.

First I tried Golden Days, but I didnt really like the grass color in taigas that much, and then I tried Beta Continuum and...wow...I was just floored. The fog, the lighting, the night sky, everything just captured the best of beta and of early release versions.

So, ive been playing on 1.16.5 with this texture pack (my pc cant handle 1.17 generation that well, lol) and everything just looks so amazing to me. Im kind of hesitant to call it my forever world since I really havent been playing on it for too long, but I want to keep it for as long as possible
